REFLECT AND RUMINATE...

During this wonderful Christmas season and throughout your duration on this planet, remember to look for the positive in each day, be thankful for the challenges that are brought your way, keep God's commandments close and practice the fruits of the spirit.

BE FREE!

NEW BAR STOOLS!!

My amazing parents have blessed me with new bar stools for my 50th! I adore them (my parents AND the bar stools!)

Sunsets on the frigid December plains

There is nothing like the embrace of a snowy country Christmas, the tireless, distinctive aroma and warmth of a roaring mesquite fire, the laughter of family and friends, dirty dishes, happy dogs, purring cats and having 17 days off of work!!!!!

Zack and his altered .22

Jake and Talia - new tools, deer rifle, Kindle Fire...

What can you do with a few broken bike parts, some PVC pipe and a welder?

A drift trike of course!!!
Type it into YouTube and sit back and enjoy the fruition of some very creative minds!

It's a no-brainer that DUCK HUNTING will always be part of the Christmas break!  Although the populations are a bit scant this year, it's not about the kill, but the hunt!

You might be a redneck if you clean your ducks on your tailgate right smack in the middle of the yard...

HOLIDAY CRAFTS!

I had the most fun opportunity to keep one of my co-worker's girls the day we got out of school for Christmas! We googled 'easy Christmas crafts' and made these fun lil' pinecone skiers! We made one for each of the people in the girls' family, as a holiday table decoration!  It was so much fun and the girls did a GREAT job! What a blessing that family is!

Tickling Logan - she's in my class this year...

Gabby (had her last year in class) and Logan focus on their part of the assembly line!

REMEMBER THE REASON FOR THE SEASON...

I was the Grinch for our school Christmas music program! It sure let out my inner child! HA!

Even though life's journey can take you through some pretty rough stuff, there is always something to be thankful for.  Remember, as difficult as it is sometimes, it could ALWAYS be worse.  Please keep "CHRIST" in Christmas and if you don't like how your life is going, try asking God to take the wheel!

There's nothing like having my boys home!

Jake's 20 and a junior at West Texas A & M University - studying Criminal Justice!

Zack's 16 and a sophomore at Vernon High School and just got his driver's license!

Our lil' photo session was VERY reminiscent of when they had their pictures taken as lil' kids...fussin', sighin' and more fussin' and sighin'! SHEESH - the only problem is that when they're towering over you, you can't bribe 'um with candy or spank 'um to redirect the attitude!

I think they're on the naughty list this year!

Really mom? Squatting by an old trough? Is this the last one?  I think photographs are unchristian...(Jake really said that...and Zack just nodded in one accord...) SHEESH!

Q's Corral had Christmas at the Corral! Check 'um out on Facebook!

WAYYYYY off the subject, Mr. Bush (my principal at school) agreed to be duct taped to the wall as part of a fund raiser prize...The kids LOVED it!

The NFR in Vegas has come and gone for another year...This gal, Mary Walker, has an incredibly courageous and miraculous story...Google her - you'll be AMAZED at what she has been through!

For all of those dog and cat lovers out there...this one's for you!

Our hearts and lives will always be heavy and full of sorrow for those families who will forever be burdened by the horrific shooting in Newtown, Connecticut.  You all are in my daily prayers.

The following are some quotes that have crossed my life's path recently...I hope they touch you like they did me...

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY, SAFE and HEALTHY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!
