REMEMBER WHEN...

A friend of mine sent an email with these memories from the Montgomery Ward 1937 catalog...I remember going to the Montgomery Ward store with my mother when I was little (1970's). I also recall collecting and assembling books upon books of H&S Greenstamps, and turning them in for our choice of item on display. Times have certainly changed...what do you remember? This generation of kids is so vastly polar opposite...they just can't imagine life without a cell phone, iPad, iPod, computers, satellite TV and the thousands of channels available, Walmart, air conditioners, SUV's, fastfood, waterparks, malls, etc...what other differences can you remember?

A co-worker & mother of one of my students gave me one of the coolest gifts ever...Ya' know how it is when you're at a loss as to what to get someone? Well, that was me, regarding my parents...I had no idea what to get them for Christmas...until this gal solved all my problems! She's a very skilled & creative photographer and after a couple of hours on the farm, and over 200 photos later, I was given a CD containing all of the original shots + some that had been edited with special effects! From that, I picked out 5 and had a canvas wrap of photos, courtesy of Shutterfly, made for my parents...

Christmas was here before we knew it...
During the Christmas break, I was invited to bring my jewels to the Wichita Falls Symphony during their Christmas Performance...it was fun!

Very thankful to send Santas to Santa Fe this year!
